What makes FOXGLOVES better than other gloves?
The first thing you will notice is their form fit and comfortable feel. Most garden gloves are bulky and ill fitting. Not FOXGLOVES – you can do anything with these gloves that you would do barehanded. The fabric that we use is a SUPPLEX nylon/LYCRA spandex blend that has a nice soft feel but is extremely durable and abrasion resistant. When you have to get into the soil you will find that the gloves protect your fingers and nails from the dirt that usually gets through other gloves. And when you are finished you can wash them under the tap or in the machine and you will find your gloves soft and clean ready for you to wear again and again.

Do they come in sizes?
At this time we offer them in a small, a medium (woman’s) size and a large (man’s) size. Because of the spandex content they do stretch to fit many different size and shaped hands.

How long will they last?
Depending on your style of gardening and what tasks you undertake wearing your gloves, most people find their gloves last at least a whole gardening season.

Will dirt go through the fabric?
Because of the tight knit and the brushed surface soil will not penetrate the cloth and your hands and nails stay clean. Even working in muddy conditions, your hands are still protected.

Are they waterproof?
FOXGLOVES are not waterproof – they are resistant to water and will not absorb it like cotton or leather – so you can continue to work in them in wet soil without compromising the quality of the fabric or your hands. When wet, water wicks away quickly and does not compromise your dexterity.

Are they thorn proof?
FOXGLOVES are not thorn proof, but if caught on a thorn, they will not rip and will continue to protect your hands. They may also be worn under a leather glove as a liner and will help prevent blisters obtained from stiff leather seams.

Are they hot to wear?
The fabric used in our gloves is very breathable so hands do not sweat.

How do I clean them?
FOXGLOVES are fully washable in the machine or under the faucet and may be dried in the dryer on low heat or line dried.

I wear goatskin gloves, why would FOXGLOVES be any better?
FOXGLOVES offers the wearer a form fit that before the development of modern fabrics was not available in any glove. Just as we have different foot wear for different tasks, it is important to use the right glove for the right task.
